McAfee Stole My Money?

I got a 120 doller McAfee security suite. Yeah its good except IT DID NOT INCLUDE ANTI-SPYWARE. I can only scan for viruses. And the security monitor says I am completly unprotected by spyware. Where can I find a download? I will take any other product that is FREE. Not a free trial. Just PLAIN FREE! And I want it to be good, good rates. Not be a memory or hard disk hog.

Check to see if you if have your mcafee antispyware turned on or maybe you forgot to installl the antispyware component. All mcafee products from 39.99 to 120.00 should include antispyware. As for the mcafee security monitor it is a little lame because it only detects what mcafee products you have installed. It will not detect other free programs you have installed. It is just a marketing scam to get you to buy all mcafee products.
Last month I dumped Norton and went to PC Shield. My computer starts and runs much faster. It includes anti-spy-ware plus other good features.

It cost me $29.00 for the PC Shield Pro 2008.

I had one heck of a time removing Norton and all it's files.
We lost an entire harddrive on an HP computer by using McAfee Anti-virus. I don't recommend it, but if the PC mfr does, then that might be different.

Yes, you need the Anti-Spyware in ADDITION to the anti-virus software. Here are a few free programs you can download and a comparison site. I hope it helps. If the links don't work, just type the addr into your browser.
SpywareBlaster by Javacool is good to prevent spyware from installing, it is free

Windows Defender is pretty good antispyware, free also

Superantispyware is good too, but the free version just scans hard drive but has home page lock down
