My computer has become very slow since I download IE7. How do it make it faster?

It takes forever to open any file. Takes almost 10 minutes to reboot... Wondering if there is anything available as a free download to remedy this problem. I scan my computer for spyware and viruses regularly. HELP !!!!

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Making your cache size for internet files smaller may also help in this occassion you can do this by accessing the following menu I'd recommend having no more than 200mb (max) cache size:

Tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt;Browsing History -Settings%26gt; 'Disk space to use'

You can also disable tabbed browsing if you find you do not need it so much:

Tools%26gt;Internet Options%26gt; Tabs- Settings %26gt; Uncheck 'Enable tabbed browsing'
