Adssite infection - please help?

I had norton and uninstalled it since it slowed down my laptop. (I have vista on it). I loooked for other programs and found some, but not before I got adssite infection. I now run AVG 7.5, Ad-Aware, and Ad-Watch, plus I have a fire wall turned on. How do I get rid of the adssite? I uninstalled the program from my uninstall option - but it still is in my system. I read online that it reinstalls itself hidden in my system. It sends files to my appdata|local|temp location and I remove them and they keep poping back up as I delete them. Which means there is a program elsewhere.

I installed spyware doctor and it finds spyware - but wants to charge me to clean up my system. Does anyone know a free program that cleans free too. I dont want to pay for a one time deal. And, if I am going to pay, I will take my computer to my sisters computer guy to make sure its all cleaned out.

But, if anyone knows a free method - I would be very grateful.
